wow. the show is today, well, tomorrow, but its 316am, so today! we put in more work tonight, and still have more to do when i wake up! just like finals week, but on a bit of a bigger scale. some of the girls came by tonight to see the yearbook for the first time! pretty exciting. these are the final pics you’ll see of us setting up. next is the aftermath, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. but wait, i think some shit is going down throughout the month!! yes, i’ve got the entire space for the next 20 days baby. you thought this was just it? laughs. 255 Elizabeth St. 8-11pm Sept 4th!emily playing warrior

london town aint burnen down!
we had to go hard today, there’s only 3 days left until the show at 255 Elizabeth! labor day kind of messed up schedule for mail deliveries and business, but it was a blessing to have the day off.
pia met me at the gallery around 3 today. i was in the back making this huge volcano. i showed her another project that i had to get done on the gate. the book cover. we had planned to alternate lines, but she ended up taking charge. im glad she did, check out what i started to do! i think we both made a good decision to keep my hands off the brush and stick to the direction. i started the first line and it was pretty hectic. girls do have better handwriting.

later, brandee and sara showed up to help with the volcano. science class this year is going to be crazy!! we got some fun and interactive ideas for you to revisit those mr. wizard days! better show up and get your hands on one!

after we ran out of one special ingredient for the shape of the cano, we moved on to the community collage. art class in high school was always fun. brandee and emilie started to unload first. can’t wait to untape it! trying to go really craze with this one. i think that’s the only way this thing will really work.

by the end of the night, pia had killed it! o yeah, we fully erased my line and re-did it with pia’s touch. my handstyle even made sara make a piss face and said it was “bad”. lol! thats what friends are for.

now that beautiful losers has moved out of 255 Elizabeth, it has been reset to white and Y&B is moving in! we just started to transform the space a couple of days ago and are steady on it. it’s been a pretty big learning experience so far. learning when to slow down with the spray paint, and switching to the pens. or watching a friend start something, and adding some thought behind it before spreading like a wild fire. running around from project to project making sure everyone is still on the right path. i’ve already made some mistakes but i’ve got quick recovery so it’s all good. these are some shots I’ve taken so far.
when we moved in, we had such a huge empty space aaron started to run around like a little kid. “yo slow down!!”i had to scream.

he ran back and started to fuck with me

then sara and ricky started to do hand stands.

thinking about the bathrooms in high school and what went on in there brings back a lot of funny memories. we’re re-visiting some of those moments in the very own bathrooms of the 255 space! on the walls the student body would rebel, calling out the gossip on campus and the peer to peer beef with scribbled one liners like “becky’s a slut!”. the graffiti heads would experiment with their styles and throw up tags. but it was always the janitors job to come in and clean it all up, erasing the defacement, but refreshing it for more. this is the story of the janitor vs the students. a never ending battle! who will prevail? find out on Sept 28th!

sara was in the bathroom, recording something.

went in the other bathroom and ricky was being sneaky guy.

came back out and aaron started to set off the community collage.

day 2, dennis came by to help with the chalk board. were you good at math in high school? well i sure do hope you can do these equations we’ve got. get your algebra up baby!
